Poetry reading and solar cells

Today we had our poetry reading with Michelle Bitting, our California Poets in the Classroom guest teacher. Then students experimented with solar cells and circuits in PS Science.

Important dates

We have a lot of upcoming events to make sure you have on your calendar--

Friday, 5/22--$1 dress Hawaiian theme

Monday, 5/25--NO School. Happy Memorial Day!

Tuesday, 5/26--Victorious Viking Day, only for qualified students. Students will leave campus before 9:00 am. Attire: PE uniform shorts/sweat pants and Victorious Vikings shirt (was sent home today!) Hats and sunscreen strongly recommended.

Wednesday, 5/27--Third and fourth grade poetry reading, 9:00 in the auditorium. Please join us! We have had a California Poets in the Schools guest teacher, Michelle Bitting who is an award winning and published poet as our guest poetry teacher. Each student wrote poetry and will be reading one next week.

Thursday, 5/28--Strings Concert for all violin students. Students need to be in the auditorium at 6:15 pm for tuning. The concert begins at 7:00 pm. Attire: Sunday Best and pirate accessories/costumes.

Friday, 5/29--$1 Pajama Day

Thurday, 6/4--Choir concert for all choir students. Students need to be here by 6:30 pm. Concert begins at 7:00 pm. Attire--Sunday best (unless told otherwise by choir teacher between now and then.)
