Week of 10-27 updates
Halloween--if your student wants to dress up for Halloween he/she needs to come to school already dressed in costume. Please remember that no weapons of any kind can be included, including pirate swords, play guns, ninja nunchucks, etc. If your student does not want to come in costume, he/she needs to wear the school uniform. It is not a free dress day. We are not having a dollar dress Friday. We will have a Halloween costume parade at 8:30 in the shrine. No Mass. We will have a pizza lunch in the classroom on Friday. No need to pack a lunch. Please send $2 in to cover the cost of pizza.
Halloween grams will be sold this week for $1. Students may send a Halloween pencil and note to their friends. Profits benefit the Tijuana orphanage.
There will be a Spelling test on Friday but NO reading test. We will do the weekly reading test next Monday. Math minute (multiplication facts) test on Wednesday and Math chapter 4 test on Thursday.
Reading fluency and comprehension homework was handed out on Friday. It is due this coming Friday. Students need to read it aloud to an adult at least 2 times. The goal is smooth conversational-paced reading.
